The Golden Cadillac is a great blend of vanilla, chocolate and cream… and they go down dangerously fast. If you’re a fan of sweet things, like ice cream, then this is the cocktail for you.
Use the herbal Italian vanilla liqueur known as Galliano. Typically you would find Galliano going in a Harvey Wallbanger or a Tequila Wallbanger, or a Bartender’s Rootbeer. Creme de cacao supplies the chocolate flavours. Cream really is just cream. Half and half, or light whipping cream would do the trick. We have used almond milk too for this in the past.
Add the ingredients to a shaker in equal parts, with cubed ice, and then shake to chill and mix. 8-10 seconds of vigorous shaking would be sufficient, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish could be a little cocoa, a vanilla bean, or even a dusting of some powdered hot chocolate.
